A slip-on replaces just the muffler/silencer: the part that bolts to the end of your stock header pipe. A full system replaces the header too, from the exhaust port back. That distinction is the whole ballgame for what you're actually buying.

Torque vs. Peak HP

Most outdoor MX tracks run a stationary sound test, commonly a 96 dB max at the SAE J1287 test distance, though the exact number varies by track and sanctioning body, so check your local rules before you buy. Installation & Mapping Tips
Slip-on installs on a stock-mapped bike generally don't require any ECU changes. The airflow change is small enough that most modern fuel-injected 4-strokes compensate automatically through their closed-loop or adaptive fueling. That said, a couple of things worth knowing:
- Full systems are a different story. A new header changes backpressure and flow characteristics enough that a stock ECU map can run lean at certain RPM ranges.
